Torche, the stoner/sludge band from Florida, was out in support of Meshuggah on their Immutable Tour. We were there to catch the opening night of the tour in Worcester, MA, and their set didn’t disappoint! The sheer power behind their massive wall of sound was nothing short of excellent. With a great setlist that covered the highlights of their discography, including a cover of “Charge of the Brown Recluse by Floor“, they proceeded to hammer the crowd with a sonic onslaught that was a force to be reckoned with, and set the bar for the following bands exceptionally high. I’ll admit, that I’ve never seen them live before tonight, but this sealed the fate of my ear drums, as I’m definitely a fan of theirs now!
